Many of our clients have heard about programmes that help them to position their website. It is a bit like the Loch Ness Monster, there are a few people who have seen it and even a few hundred who believe that the monster exists. We believe it too. But what has SEO got to do with the monster? Maybe SEO is nothing, but SEO software is a fairy tale just like this monster. Speaking of fairytales, we will tell you about one that we even had a chance to experience….
Once upon a time…
When there were only a handful of websites on the internet, webmasters tried various techniques to get very high in the search results. In the beginning, all that was really needed was to leave comments in the guest books (this may sound far-fetched, because it’s hard to find a site with a guest book nowadays, but it was!), then sites were added to site directories and that worked too. And as if at these two stages, there were developers of software that allowed one click to add a website to hundreds of thousands of guestbooks, and there were developers of SEO software that allowed one click to add a website to thousands of web directories. But in both cases, it worked in exactly the same way. People who decided to “take the easy way out” and position their website with such an automatic program, usually ended up badly. The search engine introduced changes in its algorithm, many websites were banned – they disappeared from the search engine completely, while those that did not receive a ban either received a “filter” for the illegally positioned phrases or their position simply dropped. The risk of being banned by a search engine is not worth it in our opinion, but let’s move on. As time went by, more and more such automations were created, some for Polish sites, some for foreign ones. These are positioning automations, which add comments to wordpress, and automations which submit websites to catalogues. They are still automatons, and their effectiveness is getting weaker all the time. Nothing has changed.
Colleague adds automatic…
and it has progressed. Of course, if there is a programmer who will write a program for positioning which will be adapted to the current times – yes, it has the right to work. The question is how long it will work and whether such SEO will bring more benefits or more havoc. Our company doesn’t do SEO in such a way, we are IT specialists, we create internet every day – we want to create it in a proper way, one that allows to find the good information. The pollution that is generated by automations often misleads not only people but also search engine algorithms. Bypassing automatons in the positioning of the website, we can be sure that our website will not get banned, even if it did – we can appeal. In addition, by creating good quality content, we can use it not only to position the page, but above all to promote in social media, as well as to create newsletters for customers. Solid work – always translates into effects that are long-lasting. It is worth positioning the website in a wise way, and if someone believes that the positioning software will do its job – of course he can try it. However, we would like to warn you that we do not undertake positioning of the websites which have been previously positioned by means of programs.
